How to play
- 01
Make a guess
Type any valid five-letter word and submit it. Each guess must be a real word.
- 02
Read the colours
A green tile means the letter is in the word and in the right spot. Yellow means it is in the word but in the wrong spot, and grey means it is not in the word at all.
- 03
Narrow it down
Use what the tiles tell you to choose your next word. You have six guesses in total.
- 04
Share your result
When you finish, you can share a spoiler-free grid of your guesses.
Good to know
- Hard Mode. In Hard Mode, any revealed hints must be used in your later guesses, and it can only be switched on at the start of a round.
- One puzzle a day. Everyone gets the same word each day.
- Its origins. Wordle was created by Josh Wardle and is now owned by The New York Times.
