Waffle

Waffle gives you a grid of scrambled letters that form six words, running horizontally and vertically. Swap letters into place before you run out of swaps.

How to play

  1. 01

    Swap letters

    Drag any letter onto another anywhere on the board to swap them.

  2. 02

    Read the colours

    Letters change colour to show whether they are in the right place, in the word but elsewhere, or (on a corner) in either the horizontal or vertical word.

  3. 03

    Watch your swaps

    You have 15 swaps, and the number remaining is shown below the board.

  4. 04

    Collect stars

    Every Waffle can be solved in 10 swaps, and you earn a star for each swap you have left when you finish.

Good to know

  • Up to five stars. Because the minimum is 10 swaps out of 15, a perfect solve earns five stars.
  • More on the menu. Alongside the Daily Waffle there is a weekly Deluxe Waffle and a Number Waffle.
  • Who made it. Waffle was created by UK developer James Robinson, who first shared it in February 2022.
