How to play

  1. 01

    See today's route

The game sets a start country and an end country, for example Poland to Armenia.

  2. 02

    Guess countries in between

Name countries you think lie on a route between them. You win once your guessed countries form a connected path from start to end.

  3. 03

    Read the markers

Each guess is rated against the shortest remaining route: green or a tick for a guess that brings you closer, orange for a near-equal detour, red for a longer or impossible one.

  4. 04

    Use hints if needed

Up to three hints can show the next country's outline, all outlines or country initials.

Good to know

  • Guess allowance. You get the shortest route's length plus some extra guesses, from 4 extra on short routes up to 8 on the longest.
  • Bridges and tunnels count. Connections such as the Channel Tunnel link France and the United Kingdom.
  • Other maps. Besides the world map there are country editions and a weekly challenge every Monday.
