How to play

1. 01

   Study the photo

   Look for clues in the image such as clothing, vehicles, signs and buildings.

2. 02

   Pin the place

   Drop a pin on the map where you think the photo was taken.

3. 03

   Choose the year

   Set the year with the slider or the arrow buttons.

4. 04

   Score and repeat

   Your score for each photo combines how close your year and location were, across five rounds.

Good to know

• Maximum score. A perfect daily game scores 50,000 points.
• Shareable results. Your shared result shows each round's score, how many years out you were and how far away your pin was.
• More modes. As well as the daily challenge there is a random single-player game and multiplayer.
