How to play

Make a first guess
Enter the name of any country to start.

Read the heat
Each incorrect guess appears on the globe in a colour showing how close it is; hotter means closer.

Explore the globe
Drag, click and zoom on the globe to help choose your next guess.

Close in
Keep guessing until you find the mystery country, aiming to use as few guesses as possible.
Good to know
- How distance works. Distance is the minimum distance between land borders, so neighbouring countries show as very close.
- Colour-blind mode. A high-contrast colour-blind mode is available in Settings.
- Alternative names. Some alternative spellings and acronyms are accepted, such as Burma for Myanmar or UAE.
