Farflung

Each day's Farflung expedition has five prompts, and every prompt has several right answers. Pin one country for each, and the less obvious your answer, the more distance you cover.

How to play

  1. 01

    Read the prompt

    Think of a country that fits, such as one where German is an official language. There is no clock unless you turn one on.

  2. 02

    Place your pin

    Tap the map to place a pin on a country, tap again to move it, and zoom to get closer. The map has no country labels.

  3. 03

    Drop pin

    Press Drop pin to lock in your answer. You get one answer per prompt, and a wrong answer adds no distance.

  4. 04

    Reach camp

    After the fifth prompt you reach camp, which shows your total distance, every answer and facts about the countries.

Good to know

  • Rarity tiers. Correct answers are rated Common, Uncommon, Rare, Elusive or Farflung, and every prompt has at least one Farflung 'gem'.
  • Harder settings. Difficulty options let you hide the country name under your pin, turn off borders or play against a 60-second clock.
  • Practice round. An untimed practice round lets you try a single prompt as often as you like without using up your daily game.
